Details
In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint issued a new biannual series of silver coins.
The 999.9/1000 pure coins feature birds of prey and are regarded as follow-up to the Canadian Wildlife Series.
The Birds of Prey series is legal tender in Canada and each coin has a face value of CA$ 5.
The first coin issued in 2014 depicts a peregrine falcon on the reverse, followed by the bald eagle and both the red-tailed hawk and great horned owl in 2015. The profile of Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the obverse of the coins
The Birds of Prey coins are available in 1 oz size only and 25 coins are shipped in a tube. Each tube is sealed with a security seal of the Royal Canadian Mint.
