After the German gold mark proved to be very successful, the Federal Republic of Germany issued German gold euros for the European currency changeover in 2002.
The fineness of all gold euro coins is 999.9/1000.
After the positive response to the 50-euro gold coins so far, the Federal Ministry of Finance decided to issue another five-part 50-euro gold coin series.
The new series will be issued from 2023 to 2027 and will focus on German crafts. The first motif in the series is "Nutrition", the obverse of the coin presents a collage of typical handicraft tools from various food trades.
The coins will be produced in equal parts by the five German mints and distributed by the Sales Office for Collector Coins of the Federal Republic of Germany.
