Testing of precious metals and diamonds
Experience and advanced technology come together at Dresden.Gold for the benefit of our customers so that we are able to offer even better service.
There are numerous methods described on the internet to help you tell whether a diamond or gold ring is real or fake. The only problem is – those methods are not entirely reliable.
If you want to get certainty concerning the authenticity of your treasures, we are ready to help. Especially in the case of heirlooms this can be useful if the exact origin is no longer known.
Non-destructive testing
All methods used by us are non-invasive; the pieces are neither altered nor damaged by testing and the resale value is not reduced.
After completion of the test, you will receive a test report with a list of the test results and a conclusion on the authenticity of the objects.
In principle, an inspection can take place without prior appointment. Since a result can only be reliably determined by a synopsis of various tests, we ask you to schedule time for a test procedure accordingly. However, if there are more than ten pieces to be tested, we would like to ask you to register in advance so that we can guarantee smooth procedures.
Inspection of purchased goods
We also check purchased goods for authenticity as standard in order to offer our customers the greatest possible security. No fees will be charged for any checks if the goods are sold to Dresden.Gold.
Notes on jewellery
We would like to point out that jewellery can only be checked to a limited extent by us. Delicate work in particular requires other testing equipment for a reliable result than that used for bars and coins. In Dresden the jewellery shop Navajo in Rothenburger Str. 43 offers a corresponding service.
