Details
The palladium Maple Leaf was first issued in 2005. The design of the coin corresponds to that of gold and silver Maple Leaf coins and shows on the obverse the profile of Queen Elizabeth II and the Canadian Maple Leaf on the reverse. Only the year of issue changes accordingly.
In 2015, new security feature were introduced that consists of a textured maple leaf, microengraved with laser technology on a small area of the reverse side (Maple Leaf side) of the coin and radial lines replacing the bullion finish on earlier coins.
The palladum coin is only available as 1 oz coin with a face value of CA$ 50.
