Details
Originally, Ducats were used in all of Europe, after the first coins had been minted in Venice in 1284.
Most of the coins available today are Austrian Ducats.
The 1 ducats gold coin was minted from 1872 to 1914. Furthermore, official new mintages exist, all dated 1915.
These coins were produced using 986/1000 gold, wich is a remarkable percentage.
The obverse of the coin shows the portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I. The reverse depicts the coat of arms.
