The Royal Canadian Mint started a new series of gold coins in 2014 depicting different Canadian animals each year. All “Call of the Wild” coins have an exceptional fineness of 999.99/1000 which is extraordinary for bullion coins and carry a face value of C$ 200. They are produced in sizes of 1 oz only.
On the obverse of the coin, the profile of Queen Elizabeth II is shown. The Bulking Elk as well as the textured micro-engraved maple leaf, already familiar from Maple Leaf coins, decorate the reverse of the fourth issue of this fantastic new range.
